DaBrain81,

from piiptv ui advanced settings activate full logging and reproduce cases and send me few logs (tv.log) about your problems

1. take log from samsung streaming case. Have you tried different codecs / resolutions with samsung?
2. take log from coreplayer case
3. take log from lap + coreplayer

Post it here of email it to me, i will try to find time and check your logs and see if something can be improved :)

Hi.

Sorry for late posting... wasnt here for a while...

I did a little bit more testing. As said before, live TV streaming to my laptop works fine. Recorded TV Streaming works fine to my Laptop AND to the SGH-i550. When i whant to view live TV on my Samsung CorePlayer says cannot open URL or no file blabla.sdp.

What i did: I startet piiptv service, deleted tv.log, tried to stream twice, stopped the service and made a copy of tv.log.

I dont know how to get the logfiles from my samsung, if you could tell me i would upload it.

thanks again....

btw: does anyone know why video center doesnt work on Samsung SGH-i550? its a S60 v3 fp1.

tlevis,

I checked your log and somehow timeshift is not started at all. I also asked from MP developpers why this happens. (no reply yet)

DaBrain81,
Player tries few seconds and then gives up for some reason. You are also using VLC 0.8.6h, i have noticed some problems in that version can you try 0.8.6f version, that has been proven to work.

In VLC 1.0.1 streaming parameters has been changed, and because that i need to release soon new version what supports that. And once that version is released then older VLC versions cannot be used anymore.

Can you install this file to Samsung? For nokia's this one is working. If you can't maybe nokia has restricted it some how...

switched to 0.8.6f. same error, it says "file not found" or "cannot open url". just the same. i already noticed this Video Center exists on the website. I can install it but it doesnt start. i think main problem is on the coreplayer side. still i dont know how to get any log from the S60 phone.

thanks for trying....

VLC error on start / caused by piiptv?

    Hi all.

Newbie here with following error when VLC starts:

As follows from VLC error dialog:

    File reading failed:
VLC could not open the file "vlc:quit".
    Your input can't be opened:
VLC is unable to open the MRL 'vlc:quit'. Check the log for details.

    Background information:
    New Machine
    New install.
    Win XP SP3
    VLC 1.0.2
    Running:
    Media Portal 1.0.2
    with PiipTV plugin 1.0.2

[VLC starts and runs without problem on its own.]

    Specific Problem:
VLC is started by piiptv running under mediaportal.

Error is generated as VLC is 'started' by the application.

"Check the log for details" - great idea but for love nor money [and about 3 hrs so far] I can't find, get or create logs.
I defined them in the preferences.
zero size [empty] text file after many tests / attempts.

    Any help or thoughts?

    Many thanks

    Hi,

don't use the latest vlc. Try using 0.8.6.f
    That will probably help :)

I'am working on new version that should bring support also for new VLC. VLC parameters has changed in latest versions...

I have also noticed that in latest MP versions some commands has been changed. I will announce later once plugin is compatible with new versions...

    getstatus web page

    Hi anyone [that can help]

Everything working with the exception of http://myLANorWANip:5050/@getstatus

Getting nothing on phone or PC [testing on LAN]

    Program guide good.
    TV streaming.
    Videos streaming.

    Any thoughts?

    Thank you

    ALSO:
Can anyone help me with a specific list of ports to open [and map / PAT] on my firewall?

All working on LAN [with exception of getstatus page].

When out and about [WAN / 3G]:
Can get update of stored videos.
    Nothing will stream.
Program guide will not update [says apdating but never gets there

Don't want to do a complete NAT. I would rather PAT
[NAT: Network Address Translation --> Everything to one machine on LAN]
[PAT: Port Address Translation --> Only certain ports are mapped to machine on LAN]

    Thank you
