I've downgraded today from SVN to 1.0.7 but i still have the problem that the video is only played in the small preview window :-( any ideas?

There were some problems in 1.0.5 with this, relating to bluray playback in particular, but they should have been fixed since 1.0.6. if you can give a few more details and maybe debug logs we might be able to figure out what is going on though. Does this happen 100% of the time? For all types of video? Only in Moving Pictures?

i see this problem only when starting the movie from moving pictures. It is working fine in videos, ... i'll provide logs today or tomorrow.

are you using the Mediaportal 1.1.0 or your Disaster Edition ?

Am a long time MP1 user, and have successfully been running the x64 version since it first appeared.

Fixed, I think.
Certainly the vintage MP2 installer that I was using no longer installs the LAV filters. I can only assume that these were never part of the install package itself, but rather downloaded during the install, and that link no longer exists. Shame that the installer doesn't indicate this.

I've recently retired my MP2 setup for my main HTPC and gone back to separates, but I wanted to retain the ability to play...
Got a reply from SD ...
"Looks like your last successful download was on 5/23.
On 5/24 for some reason we received 194 connections between 10:54 and 11:05
triggering a denial of service attack ban. The logs show it was lifted on 5/25,
but I still see the entry in iptables. I reset fail2ban and hopefully you're

The electronic program guides (tvguide.xml) have been successfully transferred to MediaPortal.
The issue stemmed from the corruption of one or both of the mc2xml.dat and/or mc2xml.exe files, for an unknown reason. Consequently, even though the tvguide.xml file appeared to be updated, its content kept being an...
