Any future plans to implement the codecs used for the HD quicktime trailers from apple website? There seems to be more and more hd trailers popping up just wondering if this is something you guys are considering?

Hi,
MP uses Wnidows Media Play for playback. If there is a codec out there for Quicktime HD playback on WMP. it will work in MP. Tried Quicktime Alternative?

Thanks Flip, will try something, got the storm codec working in wmp not in MP as yet but i will have more of a play .
I can read quicktime HD trailer with Media Player Classic so it should be possible to read them with MP.

just a bit of an update now with the codecs i can play the quicktime hd trailers i had with windows media player 10, however the new trailers i have downloaded today play but don't have sound, and the newer ones dont' seem to play in mp , so need to find some other settings i'm missing,

I don't know about MP2 but as you said you tried MP1 too, how is the MP music config ?
MP(1) will only use LAV if you select "Internal DirectShow player" as music output, but then you lose gapless playback.
If you you don't have multichannel music you can choose WASAPI as the output and set the number of speakers to stereo.
