I managed to fix this by "Fresh installation", it kept all my settings and plugins so no big harm done.
I still have my old problems that paychannels hangup in 30-60min, recordings also. All channels are jittering a bit.
But my problem with HD channel "fixed". It was totally unusable before this, now for some reason i can watch it exept some pixeling time to time.
About the tv-description text scrolling it is still too fast, people visited on my place complained it, so it's not just me
Anyway I believe in Media Portal, thanx for great piece of SW guys!

Well I've upgraded my server and 2 clients and all updated fine without any errors and are working great. Well done all the devs! Time to donate again I think...

Hi to all,
But I can't see "setting" in start menu!! I upgrade today my 1.01 to 1.02. I tried with total new installation also, but with the same result!!
Is it normal??

About the text scroll speed, after i did full removal, settings and everything.
After new Fresh installation scroll speed was slower, it looks ok now.
Looks like upgrade didn't change that speed?

I've given up on 1.0.2 and gone back to 1.0.1.

The .2 version just constantly had these weird gui hangs when changing menu's. There didn't seem to by any rhyme or reason, and it could be in the guide, in music, in videos, etc. There's a thread in the support forum about it, so i'm not the only one.
Dot two also introduced some weird flickering problems when TV was playing etc. All in all, the rock solid stability of dot one just isn't there for me. Glad it works for others though.

Yeah same here... I had issues with TV, big issues, GUI hangs while bringing up OSD... That was it for me.. So much about minor changes !!!!

1.01 -> 1.02 was the roughest update to date. No update option visible and it deleted about half the settings at random. Rescanning yesterdays UK channel changes went so well I needed a clean re-install and discovered importing my recording schedule (all 154 of them) toasts the manual control tab and borks the EPG.

1.02 is looking as fragile as a Humax 9200T

Odd as 1.01 to 1.02 went smoothly for me on my tv server plus my 2 clients!

if no update was selectable, then you where running a pre 1.0 version or a SVN build. In this case we cannot guarantee the result of an upgrade and we force a clean install.
Nothing is ever deleted at random anyway.

I see in your "my system" that you where on RC3 wit ha custom skin. Did you test a real clean install without any 3rdparty plugin ?
