Hey guys,

Some of the silverstone cases come with remotes and VFD's - which are purty and nice.

Do you guys know if that remote is an MCE remote? is it natively supported in MP?

thanks.

they are not MCE remotes, and they are not supported natively within MP. Of course, that doesnt mean the remote wont work. depending on the commands the remote sends, you may just need to reconfigure the commnads within MP, or you may have to use a program like HiP or Girder to catch the button presses

    That both sucks and blows.

    ;)

Is there a way you can buy silverstone cases that have a VFD but do not come with the remote?

The remotes that come with the huappage cards are supported though...

So it may just be easier to make sure I get one of them...

I have a mozart htpc case which has the same VDU and remote, it took 30min to setup using a thread from this forum but I cant seem to find the link to it now. The thread has the instructions for both remote and VDU as well as the key mapping file for Imon.

Someone should be able to point you to the thread:)

Most (all?) small PC cases accept only ITX motherboards, which have only one PCI-E slot. So you could install only one PCI-E tuner card. A quad-tuner card would give you four tuners, but if you wanted more tuners you would need to use the TBS eight-tuner card, or use external tuners, either USB tuners (available with single or dual...

Ran into this problem following an otherwise sucessful upgrade from MP 1.34 x64 to MP 1.35 x64 the CEC Remote plugin which I use just to control volume and standby, will no longer put my devices (TV & AVR) to sleep when the HTPC is put in standby. Also when I wake up the HTPC MP closes or crashes (not sure which) as per the example in...

Ok, so perhaps a solution, but not the "right" solution. On the client, within media portal configuration, under TV settings, advanced options, I switched to UNC paths instead of the default RSS, and it's working very well. Sure I had to figure out the paths, but no big deal. Maybe helpful for someone in the future. Thanks for the...
