On a 2th thought, actually a 202th thought, what are the chances that Skype will change their network protocol? After all, an older version, say v4.2, still works, agreed it maybe has not all the bells and wissles of the latest version, but it works.
As I see it, on a living room HTPC, if we would be be able to place and receive video calls through Skype from our couch, that would be all we need.
In that perspective, maybe it is worth the effort to build a plugin based on the latest Skype version with API. Technically it is possible, I provided already the base for the video part, it still needs a fair amount of work though...
As stated before, all we need is a coder with time on his/her hands, and a genius in MP skin design.
I would love to do the coding part, but I simply don't have the time...
I'm willing to act as some sort of "coach", explaining how I see this plugin, and how to programmaticaly achieve that, should someone take on the challenge.
