SMPEditor crashes after 100% splashscreen download (1 Viewer)

Hi guys
SMPeditor crashes when downloading splashscreen.
I downloaded zip file below but it did not help.
I get the error below.
how do i fix this?

I have no idea from above why its crashing for you, I just tried and it worked as expected.

FYI, you don't need to download the editor separately, the latest package has the fix. This is a completely different issue as your download is working, but something done after is failing.

Does the windows event log give you any more information about the crash?

Maybe a virus scanner is interfering, you can try temporarily disabling? See if the windows event log gives any clues that you can post here.
