Are you using the latest ATI driver? I think, you use v12.04 - please update to v12.06.

I think the ATI-Driver doesn't recognize the HDMI-Port of your TV - and at this point, HDMI-Out isn't available as default direct sound device. No device - No Sound!

    (Please fill out SYSTEM-SPEC)

Another solution is to use the Realtek HDMI audio drivers and not the ones ATI provides. But I think CCC 12.6 solves this issue.
It is unlikely that this is a MediaPortal bug.. have you tested if sound works outside MediaPortal after resume? Maybe try VLC or Windows Media Player.
    Thanks!

    Hi,
    i don't use HDMI, only S-VIDEO ( i know it's too old .... but my TV have 6 Years only !)
    i think i have ATI 12.6.
i must try with an other software, but i have no sound directly after resume, no sound in menu, nothing !

in queue i must try :
    - test resume without MP ( like VLC) ( with Windows / without Windows )
    - Update Drivers

    Problem is here ?
    Code:

    Hi.
Sounds as if your onboard soundcard did not awake after sleep.

Maybe you can solve this with "Hibernate Trigger", PS Tools and "Devcon" Here's an example for restarting TV card after standby

    Code:
    net stop tvservice
    C:\PSTools\PSKILL -T tvservice.exe
    C:\Devcon\devcon enable *14F1
    C:\Devcon\wait 2
    net start tvservice
    exit

I didn't had those for Audio up to now so you need to fiddle a bit to get this adapted for your audio device.

    Hi.
Don't believe this. Above example is for restarting TV Card which is definitely blocked by TV Server.

In your case I believe the soundcard did simply not wake up after resume from standby (hibernate,... whatever)
So you have to do something like "devcon enable xxxxx" with the ID of your soundcard (look in device manager to get this). You can test it in command prompt after your sound is gone. If this works you can create a batch and auto execute this .bat with hibernate trigger....

BTW this is no MP problem, its an issue of your hardware... And this is a dirty workaround, but most of the time it works, so no need to trash your mainboard for this...

    Hi, Lehmden
After search, my problem is soundcard Driver by Realtek !
i have reinstalled default driver from Microsoft, and work normally. Thx for your help ! (y)

For Test ( or for users with problem ) : line code of batch. only for Driver Problem
    Code:
    C:\Devcon\devcon restart *10EC
    exit
"Enable" changed by "restart" because Device is loaded.

Batch for problem with Tvserver !
    Code:
    net stop tvservice
    C:\PSTools\PSKILL -T tvservice.exe
    C:\Devcon\devcon restart *10EC
    choice /T 2 /D O
    net start tvservice
    exit
"wait" changed by "choice" wait is not default command in win7 but can be download here and paste it in c:\windows folder

    SOLVED !

When I tested MP 2.5 some months ago using TVE3.5, I found that "scan for channels" failed to find any channels when I selected a DVB-T2 tuner (a TBS 6284) :(, but succeeded when I used a DVB-T tuner (a Pinnacle 2000i) :). Obviously the Pinnacle found only those channels broadcast in DVB-T MUXes (in the UK we have both DVB-T MUXes and...

Does anyone else have problem with long (several hours) pauses of TV broadcasts? If I pause and forget, I can still resume TV the next day, but if I try to change channel or stop, MP freezes. Only way to fix is to restart both MP and TV Service. Sometimes I need to restart PC It seems that TVServer cannot proprtly handle large...

Default Direct Sound Device was the problem. MPAR worked better than Dircect Sound, but is still a problem. Changed Audio Renderer to use the TV and it's working.
