All info in pulling from online perfectly
This is a joke, isn't it?
Try to pull info from TVDB for series "Navy CIS: L.A." and you never will get any result, no matter how you write the folder... And this only is one out of many example where you can not name the series folder to get a proper result...
MPTVSeries is the only plugin/program of this kind that still did not support .nfo files. All other are 100% sure .nfo support is necessary. So probably MPTVSeries is doing wrong instead of all others?

And the tvshow.nfo ajs posted is not correct, in fact it is no valid .nfo at all.
A valid tvshow.nfo (with German titles and descriptions) I've attached for your information

I prefer without nfo files. The filename naming issue with certain tvseries is not necessarily an issue regarding to not having nfo files, it's more likely an issue with regex and parsing the filename/folder. I have never had this issue personally as i don't have any problematic tv series.[DOUBLEPOST=1453062444][/DOUBLEPOST]Regarding the difficult filenames you should prob post example file name with debug logs so it can be looked at?

I'm sure if you could name another site with the same or better multilingual tvseries support Damien will switch to it. Only one I know is tmdb but I'm sure tv series support is not so wide there. I've heard many good words about tvmaze but it's english only and dont have fanart. Trakt? Unstable, english only but with good fanart support.
So I think tvdb is good compromise.
Using nfo with full description we will still need fanart from somewhere else. From where? Fanart.tv?
Another question is who will make those nfo files. This probably will be not so inGUI operation

    Hi.
So I think tvdb is good compromise.
It is, but how long? They are working on a new API that only can be used with username and password. So it looks as if everyone who uses a program/plugin that relies on data delivered by TVDB will be forced to register at TVDB and enter the credentials in plugin...

By the way, TheMovieDB series database is growing rapidly. In meantime I have a lot of series that are available on TMDB but not on TVDB (some are not entered some not allowed there).

Using nfo with full description we will still need fanart from somewhere else. From where? Fanart.tv?
Another question is who will make those nfo files.
There are many ways to generate those nfo and all (or nearly all) of them are grabbing fanart too, most often from various sources. As example my own program MKV-Buddy is grabbing Fanart from TVDB and fanart.tv as most often only one source did not deliver all kind of fanart that is wanted (e.g. clearart is not available on TVDB, season poster are not available on fanart.tv).. You can use tMM, Ember, MKV-Buddy,... and even Kodi (if you like) to generate those .nfo... And as an backup it should/could be possible to write the MPTVSeries DB into .nfo format to preserve e.G. personal modifications (description, sort-title or similar)...
That's how my series folders are looking:
    Zwischenablage-1.jpg

You can see the various types of fanart, the .nfo and the season folder (Staffel is German for season)

And this is the view inside a season folder:
    Zwischenablage-2.jpg

here is the season poster and one .nfo and a thumb for every episode...

With this you are completely independent from online grabbing e.g. because of internet connection issues, TVDB being down or similar. And as all videos will have a nfo with 100% exact matches there never will be any failure while importing into your HTPC database...
