Did some further testing yesterday:
- Creating a new Config from scratch (deleting Myfilms.xml before entering config) caused a crash on firsttimeentry, but worked after that - also in GUI. But reverting to my "old" config brings the crashes back - so obviously there is something in the config making mesfilms crash - maybe adding some debug log entries might help to find it?

I also started testing the new AMCupdater: Very nice - the fanartdownloader is added and works fine - so manually updating with "download fanart" for all movies pulls fanart for the whole moviecollection - even multiple fanarts per movie.
Did not yet test if it will be displayed in MePo - but noticed, that it is stored now in a directory-per-movie base.

Can you post your old xml config file ?

Hi Zebons,

find attached "old" MyFilms.XML (works with 4.8.0c).
It starts with listview, ordered by year - and myfilms crashes as soon as the cursor is moved.
I have also added the last entries from mepo-log - there might be a hint in there that there is something with category ("2009") display - I will try disabling it.

did some short tests yesterday:
- Crash problem (when moving up/down in GUI) solved, can use "old" MyFilms.xml now without crashes and do further testing
- Got some very strange display effects in the blue3 skin - might be caused because it's not yet fully adapted to the plugins changes?

I started adapting my skin for use with newer plugin - but I think it would be best, if we first have one working skinfile for either blue3 or blue3wide. I could then port them easier. Altenatively some Infos about IDs etc. that changed would help - or the sourcecode, then I could check it there inside...

Will do further testing tonight after work!

PS: One more question: I can use AMCupdater 0.9 only with older versions of core.dll, utils.dll and mediainfo.dll. Is this by intension?
Is the former grabber.dll now included in AMCupdater.exe?

Should work with latests version of those dll... Only put AMCUpdater.exe in the C:\Program Files\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal directory. Doesn't work ?

Re BLue3-Skin:
I got effects that some elements (like buttons) are displayed twice and zoomed - making the whole screen look chaotic.
What I found is, that the fanart is always displayed not for the currently selected item, but for the last one - so fanart is always 1 step delayed.
Will try to adapt my 16:9 skin for new plugin - makes testing easier - and come back with further details. If possible, you could supply a list if IDs/names published by the plugin?
So far I don't get any genre backdrops, but I will have to doublecheck if my config is correct.
I also don't get logos displayed - at least not with my "old config" - did you change something there? I will have to check my config again.

Re AMCupdater:
I use the updater on a sever standalone (since years), so I just copy the required DLLs into the directory. Currently I use the old ones, might test later with newer ones - maybe my problem was related to the version of mediainfo.dll. I will post the exact error, when testing again (was something like "wrong objectreference"...).

did some more testing (and also made adaptions of blackglassskin to better test on 16/9 screen). My findings so far:
- No more crashes so far
- I successfully setup fanartview (loaded by AMCupdater 0.9)
- I selected to view Cover as fanart - but this does NOT work - worked fine in old version
- I doublechecked my Logo config, but still don't get any logos displayed
Log shows:

So there seems to be no logos assigned.
Attached is my logodefinition (worked with previous version) - I don't find anything I could fix in configuration - logorules can be verified and modified in configuration and are shown there.
