TV Server Hangs and CAN'T be killed (1 Viewer)

The main thing thats shown is grabbing epg, if you disable this, does it make any difference, maybe a corrupt epg, try clearing under manual control.

Have you seen the error log. The contents does not sound like a epg or DB problem.

I had this problem quite often while using my batch files after resume:
had a command line tool "process":
- mode -k "kill" didn't work, hanged in endless "loop"
- mode -q "quit" worked, when -k didn't (sends WM_CLOSE to process)
2nd one took longer time but helped.
Now I didn't had this effect anymore using your mpstandbyhandler, tvservice option "reset tuner after standby" and handler stoping service and resetting tuner...
