tv3 engine isn t work correctly on same machine as mp! (1 Viewer)

only two satelites. astra and hotbird. have only testet, if scan is working with other satetelites.
it runs trhrough. only if i choose astra, its finish in few secounds and shows that nothing is found...

and scan works on hotbird?

sorry it was my fault. astra scanning is working now. i choosed the wrong astra satelites.

but the newst version of tv engine seems to be have an other bug. after start it, it will reconstruct the database. if you start it again, it will again reconstruct the data base and so on...

hopeing there is a working new version out soon.

you are right, there is such a bug in it.

developers trying to fix now.
you could grab a build ~2-3 days ago. should work fine

i have made everything new over the weekend. installed windows fresh, apllications needed 4 tv engine and all the stuff, for testing how stable it is..i took a svn from some days ago...

well, tve isn t very stable. it often hangs and crashes, so i must turn tv on and off....

now i can be sure that it isn t becouse my windows is not ok, or that i have installed the wrong apps...

dunno why it is....

maybe you have a hint or something.

if turning TV on / off "fixes the problem ", then nothing is crashing.

have you installed all patches mentioned in the ::requirements:: ?

and what is the issue that makes you think it "crashed" (steps to reproduce + logs please)

just start mediaportal in debugmode with the link in your start menu (is present since 0.2.3.0 RC2) -> reproduce that issue in MyTV -> close MP -> attach exported log.zip to your post.

hi chris!

if i zapp through channels it hangs. if i start up mp first time it also hangs. turning off and on tv, solves the problem till the next channel zap. it seems also have a proplem with timeshift. if i jump to an earlier point, it also hangs...
here are my logs, maybe you find anything in it...

i can suggest 2 things

1. select "MPV" as video codec and "MPA" as audio codec in MediaPortal Configuration -> Television and Movies and try again

if that doesnt fix the "black screen" issue then:
2. create a textfile called "usetsreader.txt" on c:

this will then enable the new tsreader filter which still has some glitches, but works better then the old one

well, i use only tve engine becouse i need ts recording. if there is a way to record in ts with the mp rc2 version, then let it me know plse

could you please test MyTV with MPV and MPA codecs first?

ok, think i have all needed requirements installed.
the problem with mpv codec is, that i can t change the aspect ration. tv picture is stretched all the time. therefore i tried a other codec....
