the problem with mpv codec is, that i can t change the aspect ration. tv picture is stretched all the time. therefore i tried a other codec....
that does not answer my question if MyTV WORKS with MPV/MPA ;)

    me again:)

i am sorry:) well, its works more stable with MPV/MPA codecs.
its not so often hanging while zapping and also timeshift seems to work much better.

but the proplem is the aspect ratio..

do you think nvidia pure video-codecs will run more stable and solve the aspect ratio proplem?

ac3 throug spdif ssems only to be working if i set in mp settings, mpa-decoder to spdif. if it i set to stereo, then ac3 isn t working, even i choose other correcet settet codecs like cyberlink or nvida.

have you an explanation for that?

set "AC3 passthrough SPDIF" = then a AC3 audio stream is passed through SPDIF
if you set "decode to stereo" = then a AC3 audio stream gets decoded to stereo (analog jacks on your mainboard/soundcard)

    sounds logical, or? ;)

if you want AC3 and stereo signals to be send on your SPDIF, then select "AC3 pasthrought SPDIF" and enable the general use of SPDIF for stereo signals in your soundcard drivers/configtool

sure, yes:) but the point i don t understund on this is: i don t use this mpa-decoder decoder. i choose a codec like nvidia or cyberlink. this codecs are set to spdif out. but spdif only works if i eneable it , in mpa codec....

you configured the Television and Movie section to use i.e. "purevideo" for Video and Audio?

    hi chris:)

"you configured the Television and Movie section to use i.e. "purevideo" for Video and Audio?"

yeah, that was what i am trying to explain. atm, i use purevideo for video and audio and not this mpa/mpv codec.

i have the suspect that mp uses all the time the same audio-ouptut codec, even if i change in this case for example to pure video codecs. maybe the same issue with videocodec, but there i am not sure....

    greetings
