tv3 engine isn t work correctly on same machine as mp! (1 Viewer)

i have the suspect that mp uses all the time the same audio-ouptut codec, even if i change in this case for example to pure video codecs. maybe the same issue with videocodec, but there i am not sure....

thats why i requested a log

i just had a look at your logs.
could it be that you are not from "afghanistan" as your Country flag indicates?

nevertheless, you played an AVI not an mpg.
the codec settings inside MediaPortal Configuration -> Movies/TV/DVD are for MPG2 files only!

if you play any other file, then "Windows" (DirectShow -> intelligent connect) decides which codecs (Video and Audio) to be used to decode your movie.
and windows decides to decode the audio of your avi with MPA (which is a good choise )

ah..another little question. if tve is rcording a shedule programm. then i can t watch it while recoding. i get the message: timeshift coulnd be startet, no free tv-card avaible. or smilliar...

do you know why?

solved the proplem. now i can watch the channel that is recordet plus other channels on the same transponder.

atm, i working on wakeup tve from standby. this is not every time working.
if i can t solve it, i send logs to find the proplem.

its a very nice turn from you that you spend time, to help others out.

here is some feeback.

tve in one seat-configuration is now running ok. sometimes it hangs while zapping, but if you jump to a channel forward and backward, is working again. so its not soo bad.

a other things is: if hibernation is activatet under windows, mp will everytime, go in hibernation even if you choose standby. turnining off hibernation in windows, has solved the proplem...

well, what i don t like is: if tv engine is recording for some reason, maybe a shedule record or something, you have no chance to stop it under mp. you can t stop the record. its just recoding...
that is not so nice..but the most things are working ok.

well, what i don t like is: if tv engine is recording for some reason, maybe a shedule record or something, you have no chance to stop it under mp. you can t stop the record. its just recoding...
that is not so nice..but the most things are working ok..

go to TV-Guide, select the in progress show -> context menu -> record -> stop recording

you can export channels and schedules with "export" in TV-Channels

the way you describtet, i use too.

the question is, how i do upgrade to the newst tve svn. it seems, that i have to deeinstall the current tve first.
with mp is not so a big problem, becouse you just can install over the old one.
an other important question is, what how can i backup all installed, plugins, like myburner ect?

a very big proplem i have atm, is, if i backup tvlibrary like discriptet above, backup is working. but if i try to restore the backup, then i get after some working the error message, that sql server can t axes databse, becouse its in use.

so it seems that i can t restore the backuped tvlibrary....
maybe this is solveable

programs/ms-sql-server2005/connect/databases/tv-library - right click, context menü/delete, isn t working. mayb ebecouse something is under use...so i can t delete it...

have searched but not found this point. is not in mp-setup, tv-server setup, mp-gui. but maybe i am blind
