is it possible to run 2 media portal installations on the same computer? I really like the idea of tvserver and tested it, but dont want to run it as my "live" enviroment until its as stable as the 0.2.1 installation is right now (it simply rocks right now). Would be great if i could have a "play around with" installation that i could just turn on when i wanted to test the tvserver version...
If you're really desperate and have a spare HDD: The limitation is that you cannot install MP more than once per XP installation. This means you can create a dual boot XP-XP system, with 0.2.1.0 on one of them and SVN on the other one. To be honest I'm not sure whether microsoft likes this, that might be worth checking first (both for legality and product activation)
Nope, 0.2.1.0 was a subbranch which was split off from main development at a certain point of time to concentrate on bug fixing for that release. Not a real bugfixing phase, but it was a certain time.
So: Main development was and is done on the normal main branch, that's why it's the base of the snapshots. The TV Engine needs LATEST SVN, not 0.2.0.0.
Currently you can get latest SVN by installing either 0.2.0.0 or 0.2.1.0 as a base
for the snapshots. (Won't necessarily be the case for future versions!)
0.2.1.0 was a feature/pleasure/present release for the users.

That is using the "conventional" TV sources, i.e. a DVB-T tuner, a DVB-S tuner, or an analogue tuner. You stated in your other thread that you are using an IPTV source. Perhaps there is a...

TV Server plugins are listed on this page, and "EPG Cleaner" can be downloaded from this page.
Note: I don't know what bitness the plugin has. It might be 32-bit, or it might be "any cpu". The plugin is not listed by the "MP Extensions" tool, so I don't know whether it has been tested with the most-recent MP releases.

I currently have two Quatros running, one connect, one duo using OTA antennae, mostly UHF fringe area, mostly cat5 local network.
Hauppauge card retired long ago. I have also retired very early SD units, the Quatros seem to work much better than the older units.
Go to SD's support website and download and install the windows...

I don't think so, because MP has no way of knowing at which timestamp the external player stopped playback.
Best way to achieve this would be to use an auto-resume feature in your external player itself. (MPC-HC can do that, I don't know about VLC)

Hello Folks,
Is it possible to enable MP to resume in an External Player, where it left off ?
I guess the question also is, can...
