How easy is the workaround? If it is easy, perhaps you can sort this so we can test it, just in case it is needed?
I think we have to fix this/work around prior to 1.4, I've known about the crash for some time and even though I know about it I'm always get caught by it 
I probably open + close MePo more than most, but I think we will have a problem with too many crash reports and frequent crashing if it's not fixed

Update from 1.21 to 1.31 or 1.32 - no live TV with MP, recording and playing is working - solved

It's working after some hours search: the Auto3D plugin which I haven't used for years was corrupting the start of the TV live stream from server to MP.
If anyone has a similar problem - disable all old plugins and then enable one after another :-)
