If you go to the settings page, does that make the TV part appear?

    Hello Dev team

i have using Ampdroid for few months by now and had no problem with version 0.43 which was very stable , since moving to the new version 0.51 and working now with ampdroid 1.1 it seems that mpextended service is not stable anymore and crashes everyday few times by now i think that there is a bug somewere in the software but not sure , however i am attaching my logs so you can check what is wrong with the new version.

i am working with Android 9.1 Cyanogen but had problems with older versions in my tablets that until 0.51 worked like charm .

i tried to remove mpextended and deleted all related folders , then installed it clean but still facing same unstable issues.

thank you very much for one of the best plugins ever , i could not leave without it.

please advise if you find something in my logs.

    Tzach

I agree that MPExtended service (0.5.1) is not stable at all. What I see in my case is that from time to time, it fails starting, with this error in windows event viewer:

Application: MPExtended.ServiceHosts.CoreService.exe Framework Version: v4.0.30319 Description: The process was terminated due to an internal error in the .NET Runtime at IP 6E846BBA (6E780000) with exit code 80131506.

If you manually start it again, then it works (or not)... so it seems quite random. No significant info in MPExtended logs by the time of the crashes, so I don't attach them.

I automatically restart my HTPC every morning (6:00 AM), and sometimes service fails to start, sometimes it starts ok. I've configured it to start delayed also. No joy.

    bye!

I've triggered some restarts to my machine to see more detail... Last one I got the error... Service starts ok:

... but after some seconds, I can see two errors in windows event viewer (10:46:17):
    Code:
    Application: MPExtended.ServiceHosts.CoreService.exe
    Framework Version: v4.0.30319
Description: The process was terminated due to an internal error in the .NET Runtime at IP 6B4A6BBA (6B3E0000) with exit code 80131506.
    and...
    Code:

    Then service just crashes...

BTW: Could I select another interface for the service to be published? That 169.254.x.x is my Technisat AirStar2, whichs acts as a network interface in the system (normal B2C2 driver behaviour).

    bye!

Ok... I think I've found the problem... Somehow "whatismyip" delays at detecting external ip, then service just fails doing all the steps at start time, and crashes... If you disable "Automatically detect external IP", and configure your local LAN IP, then all is working (but service keeps getting published throught that 169.254.x.x... which it's a little bit weird).

I've been using "whatsimyip" in my local "ddclient" script to update my dynamic hosts for many time, and sometimes it's not working well... Consider to switch to "ip1.dynupdate.no-ip.com"... I've found it to be more confident and solid.

I'll keep on testing some more restarts just to be sure...

    bye!

What. the. actual. fuck. I think you guys hit a bug in .NET here. I'll investigate it a bit further later this week.
