Using remote nums for keyboard input - same as in Cellphones ? (2 Viewers)

Apparantly SMS style input was implimented in MP1.01, however I can't work out how you activate it. I have a genuine MCE remote and reciever but I can't get it to work no matter what I try. Also there is this patch by Nickola although its a bit old now and I havent personanly tried it.
