As far as i know you can't use http live streaming on a windows machine unless ya use safari. If you are using a different operating system ya can change it to that under the settings or underneath the video that is current playing. @Oxan or one of the other developers can correct me if I stand corrected.

HTTP Live Streaming is only supported open iOS / Android / Mac OS X. If you use one of these operating systems, it should show up in the profile dropdowns.

I don't know, I haven't looked into that. Is there a specification of what the SMARTV supports available somewhere?

On SMARTV VLC-Plugin ist not supported. So I hoped I can use Direct play.
    Thank you for support.

I'm pretty sure Direct isn't going to work due to limited codec support. Anyway, I expect that WebMP doesn't support any way to stream to SMARTV curently, and will need some customization to get that working.

I don't think so, because MP has no way of knowing at which timestamp the external player stopped playback. Best way to achieve this would be to use an auto-resume feature in your external player itself. (MPC-HC can do that, I don't know about VLC)

I havebeen using Zap2XML / GraceNote but that just died (for me alone seemingly) and I am out of listings. :( Would appreciate any help - Thanks.

I meant use MP client to try to spot how it's requesting streams for specific channels and then try to do the same with VLC. TV Server development looks dead so I'm afraid you're going to have to figure that out by yourself if it's even possible.

4.5 is really old. I'm not sure 4.5.5 even is a version that actually existed. You should be able to install .NET Framework 4.8.0 on Windows 7 SP1
