That really does sound like something corrupted the 1.0.2 install, all my recordings switched between the two versions fine, the only thing that seems to have been "common" so far, is on some upgrades tvservice.exe is missing, but that would not affect you, as you could still record and watch them, so I'm puzzled on that one.

For the moment, I turned off the "Automatic channel logo update" in Settings (which somehow I had missed, I think because it wasn't an option previously), and the deleted everything in the Flat-default folder and populated it with my own logos. I am in the process of setting up a legacy media player (Mede8er) which I happened to have laying around into my home cinema setup...
TV Server plugins are listed on this page, and "EPG Cleaner" can be downloaded from this page.
Note: I don't know what bitness the plugin has. It might be 32-bit, or it might be "any cpu". The plugin is not listed by the "MP Extensions" tool, so I don't know whether it has been tested with the most-recent MP releases.
