Sorry rshack, missed your post. There is nothing you are doing wrong. There has always been an issue with Y! returning empty listings. The flaw seems to be becoming more apparent now that there are more people trying to pull the data.

It seems that their server builds the data on the fly when it is requested then caches it for an unspecified amount of time. Sometimes the data does not get built at all.

All I can tell you is to wait a few hours and try again at a different time. Some people have been having more luck with the 5-7 AM timeslot.

There are at least 5 grabbers pulling from the Y! data source including YahooXMLTv and I fear we may be overloading the server.

I'm getting empty listings too. It ran great for months and it has failed the past two days. I've tried the newer version of YahooXMLTv and the old version.

Anyone know anything about TitanTV? Thier website says free membership and boast PVR support.

http://partners.titantv.com/TTV/MyTitanTv/Login/index.aspx

It's done through TVPI or something like that. Basically, you set a recording on the Titan Tv website and a plugin (one would have to be written for MP) would check your Titan Tv account periodically and set a manual recording based on the TVPI file it downloads. You would not actually get full listings in your PVR unless you used a web browser plugin to go to the Titan TV site.

The times in the output are UTC. Set media portal to 0 and 0 and don't use the offset option.

The Yahoo listings are gone. They have switched providers and are no longer building the data files for Go 4 Tv. There is no data for YahooXMLTv (or any of the other Yahoo based grabbers) to pull.

I tohught I had it bit then...........

Hey I just followed PastorVor's instructions for setting up YAhooXML thing. It only will find one channel for me. I have Dish Network Charlotte, 28146 for my zip. The Yahoo Go for TV only takes about half a second to download it's lineup (which I'm sure should take way longer than that even on a 5 megabit internet connection) and when I convert wiht the YahooXMLTV it only says it finds one channel but has full deatail for it. Neither program is giving my any type of error. Tanks for any response. I was so looking forward to setting up that new Zap2It plugin then they cancelled service. Just looking to get something going. I would try the media center thing but I don't have a media center that I can use to pull the guide initially.

No matter what combination of zip or service I select it never downloads more than one channel.

There is an MSN scraper and a Zap2It scraper by other developers (don't have links handy, sorry). But with the price of listings from Schedules Direct and CTPvr, I don't know why you would even want to bother with the scrapers. Surely the time you spend messing with them is more valuable than $2.50/month.
