Did you enable the General HID Device on Remotes? This will capture the common Multi-Media Keys and use them "usefully". I am not sure if you can reconfigure them, but I know that they work from my keyboard.

My wife is asking for this one, she wants a plugin that she can plug her iPod in and play music on from Media Portal...
I think it would be nice to see a system status plugin telling the user:
1. which (if any) tuners are in use,
2. if the transcoding is in process
3. if any commercial flagging is in progress ...etc
this could be tied in with the power scheduler to keep the system on when a daemon tool / process is in use and percentages...

Er, it should do that already thanks to the PowerScheduler plugin.
As for the button, that functionality already exists on the MCE remote, so you could probably map the action to a key on your remote for the same effect. Check out the keyboard shortcut configuration in MP setup.

I' d like shutdown(or standy by or freeze ) mp by my remote or from the skin just press only the power off without any more choice...
