I personally don't have the time - and anyone who wants to create a site would probably need credentials to test it (plus motivation to implement your 2 requests). So it sure is possible and the XBMC code helps (though not in a copy paste manner) but you have to find someone willing and time to implement it.

I have a problem with a RTMP site configuration. It's working with RTMPDUMP but in MediaPortal, I have a "NoDataAvailable" message...
There isn't anything fixed.
As I understand, they made it really hard. It's going to take quite a bit of development to get this working, and a new release of onlinevideos and mpurlsourcesplitter.

I updated "iTunes Movie Trailers" and now I get nothing in labeled button area to the top right. As you can see in pic.
I even updated all sites on start-up of "Online Videos".... a bunch of times to see if this may fix the problem,....but still no joy.

Depends on the type of stream, if there's a directshow filter that can play them, and how protected they are.
If you know the urls to the streamns (not the url to the website embedding them) then you can add a new site in OV config with th estreams.
