Apple Airplay in MediaPortal (1 Viewer)

Hi MrCrabs,

You are right, it is slow. I tried to figure out why, but it appears the data is arriving this late from the iOS device. Not sure why this is better with other implementations.

But as you noticed this is a really early alpha. The problem is that I don't have time for it at the moment but would really like to have a plugin like that. For this reason I uploaded what I have at the moment at github, hopefully someone can pick that up and make a working thing out of it!

I'll just add that i'd really like to see this feature in MediaPortal. I'm watching more and more tv online (svtplay.se and so forth) and i really prefer to use the ipad as a "remote" for these kind of things.

Nothing on this huh? The Airplay support in XBMC is basically perfect, maybe it could get ported to MP?

XBMC is written in C++ and C. Mediaportal in C# so a port is more like a complete rewrite. I would really like to finish this plugin but I can't code at all.

I really like mediaportal more than XBMC but one of the reasons I am testing XBMC at the moment is the Airplay feature in XBMC. The problem in XBMC is that the TV support is not (yet) good.

Hope anyone with some experience can finish this plugin.

Thanks for the link, I bought it to check it out. The PC version is extremely limited right now. It basically only supports mirroring your ios device (no support for apps which do airplay on their own) and does not support sound. I have my htpc hooked up to a 1080p tv and the graphics are a bit blurry whether i'm mirroring my iphone4s or ipad3.

The mac featurelist looks good so hopefully the pc version gets up to speed quickly.
