Thanks Scythe42. I appreciate that you and the rest of the MP dev team must be extremely busy. It is remarkable what the team has achieved together with MP. I only wish I had some time to contribute also. It would be fun!

A usercase request I have from a customer atm. is mirrowing.

He wants to sit down in his livingroom. Normaly use his HTPC (MP 1.2.3), and then take his Ipad -> enable mirrowing, and show i.e. a website on the bigscreen.

I am currently investigating if http://www.airserverapp.com/ can jump on top of MP, display the mirrowed feed, and when mirrowing stops, get MP back in focus.

I've been looking at XBMC which apparently has AirPlay support.
Yet it does not support mirrowing and playback of videos and picture slideshows is _very_ unstable (audioplayback seems experimental on PC). XBMC and the IOS device also loose the connection a lot.

Forward a stream of audio to another iOS device

The specs sound great. Let us know what you find out :)

Just install Areodrom and be done with it.

Tried it out after i was searing forums for best way to integrate airplay with mediaportal. Conclusion, it works great!

Although i stay a dutchguys, and i prefer it free, the Areodrom works great next to mediaportal.

Sadly i need to say that sinds the last few months i doesnt work well together. Movies are buffering the whole time and latetly it seems that haveing mediaportal open all the time results in a crash to areodrom.

I use airserver (3,99 $ for 1 license or 15$ for 5). Works fine, inkl. mirroring.
    Yeah it is AWESOME!

Only downside -> you have to disable "always on top" in MP (in case you used that).
I already asked the airserver devs if they could implement a feature to minimize all running/fullscreen apps when airplay starts, and restore the previous state when it ends. Then you could also use "always on top" in MP.
They said they will look into it.

From the internets movies work fine. From my iPad / iPhone it sometimes needs some extra buffer time. Music works, but not in perfect quality (esp. when trying to sync).

AirServer is a perfect app. For movies and pictures it works perfect.

The only downside is that you need to stop/pauze TV or Movie otherwise you have the sound of a movie and the movie you are streaming.

Hope it gets integrated in MediaPortal

Just to be clear, I am talking about the GitHub access to the source code - using the Code button. I noticed that there is a link 'MediaPortal 1.36 Release' at the right-hand side of the page that takes me to page that has a link to the source code at the bottom of the page. That link seems to be virus free (according to Windows 10)...

First thing to say is that I use MP1, whereas I believe that you use MP2. @ge2301 has just posted that MP2 has a "folder view" in addition to the "library view", so you should be able to set up your system as I describe below, but the details will differ. In MP1, the folders that are to appear on the "Videos" panel are defined in "MP...

Ok, so perhaps a solution, but not the "right" solution. On the client, within media portal configuration, under TV settings, advanced options, I switched to UNC paths instead of the default RSS, and it's working very well. Sure I had to figure out the paths, but no big deal. Maybe helpful for someone in the future. Thanks for the...
