Jimmy,

Can you go to the user CP page (linked at the top left) and enter your system details. That will allow us to understand what brand of TV card you have; what graphics, cpu and codecs.. with this information we may be able to detect any setup issues.

Cheers
erosco

erosco,

i will do this tonight.

Do yo have an antenna amplifier in your system?

Digital TV is effected by poor signal, but also by a saturated strong signal.
If you have an antenna amplifier, then try to change the "db" settings if possible, or try without.
Also there is a diference between antenna amplifiers for analog and digital tv, not every amplifier is good for digital.

If you use TVE3 (TV Server), you can look at both signal strenght and signal quality, this may help with troubleshooting.

Yes i do have an amplifier, it goes from the antenna on the roof to a short cable to the amplifier and then to the media pc.

Ok i will try this, i have had a couple of set digital set top boxes before the media pc and they were fine. (one was on the main antenna and the other was on one of those ones you put on top of the tv.

i will have a look at the amplifier tonight :D

Also Channel 7 really stuffs around with their timecode and often play around with other parts of the transport stream to put them out of specification. This is to cause problems with HTPC's etc when timeshiftiftng the ads, and general recording.

I added 3GB more of RAM (total of 5GB) and it fixed the lag but i still wasnt getting all of my channels, found out it was the antenna cable that went from the wall to the HTPC.

Fixed, I think. Certainly the vintage MP2 installer that I was using no longer installs the LAV filters. I can only assume that these were never part of the install package itself, but rather downloaded during the install, and that link no longer exists. Shame that the installer doesn't indicate this. Last time when I installed the...

4.5 is really old. I'm not sure 4.5.5 even is a version that actually existed. You should be able to install .NET Framework 4.8.0 on Windows 7 SP1
