Did you try the MS Media Center hack to get DVB-S running? It didn't work for me as I am 64 bit (despite Black Gold's claim to have 64 bit support when I bought it ).

If you are on 32 bit, you should have no problem, though you are limited to 2 tuners of the same type.

Failing that, I got DVB Viewer to recognise all tuners, but the interface od do ugly, I couldn't bear to use it.

Hi deekarma, I've never been able to see dvb-s inside mediacenter (both Vista and Xp) with the hack provided by blackgold... Have you tryed the new drivers? You can find them on blackgold download section. Don't know if they are good but who knows... Now I'll try DVBVIewer but as you say, it's not good for an HTPC front end.... Let's wait some days, maybe we can find some tips to solve...

If DVBviewer can see it, then the TV engine should be able to.
if you want to get it working, why not try positing system specs and error reports with attached log files?
This must be a better option than just complaining that it doesn't work?

Some things to try:
Can you confirm the plugin is installed in MP?
You've mapped the relevant channels to the relevant cards?
If you are crashing on scanning for channels, are you using the TV server config app? Error logs are helpful here, yet again.

I would say, get it working stable with the blackgold software first, ie run it for a few days and make sure there are no issues, because if it will not play nice with it's own software, chances are it will not work correctly with any other.

I would make sure it is on a formatted drive with a totally new xp install with updates, so there is no other crap, that may effect it correct installation.

Conflict with other hardware\software is the biggest problem most people have.

Hi, my apologise to not post my logs but how can I do that? My system specs are:

Dell Dimension 8400 (with latest BIOS)
Windows XP Home Sp2 (with all the patches released by windows update)
P4 3.2GHz HT
1024MB Ram
Audigy 2
Radeon HD2400Pro
Blackgold BGT3540

Yes, Ihave the Plugin installed. Actually I don't have any channel mapped. I get crash during the channel scan (crash in both dvb-s and dvb-t)

If you tell me how to post the logs, I'll do that.

Hi, ok, now I have the error log and the Windows Error screen. I've used the TVEngine3 Snapshot: 02-08-2008 19-59h Revision 17352. It start the scan, find channels but after 10 minutes I get the error:
