Hi Guys

Sorry for the slow reply, been busy getting the bike up to race spec :) The attached files will do what you want them to do - keep a backup because I won't be changing this in the skin so you'll need these files when I release a new version...

    Hi,
    since an update to MP 1.1.1.0 the "Weather Backdrops for BleazleWide" does not function any longer. Also the Backdrops in Movie ore Music slides with small freezers.

    Thanks for the pointers, I haven't had a chance to upgrade MP yet but will have a look at those things when I do.

    with 1.2 alpha out.. would you be skinning a whole lot or just a bit for it's new features?

    just wondering how much time before for next version?
    I know you once said that you need a "break" but hope its temporary (we really need you when 2.0 comes out too)

    I've done a lot of skinning since releasing the version you guys are using, just haven't had the time to throw a new MPE1 file together or check out MP 1.1.1.0 to see what needs updating. Looks like I may as well wait until MP 1.2 is released unless there is anything that needs to be done urgently (?). If I get a chance I might start an "updates thread" so that anyone who wants to can grab the updated & new files (includes added plugin support)...

    I've been checking out the new and updated skins that have been coming out lately and there are some great ones but unfortunately none of them are quite what I'm looking for so I guess I'll be in the skinning game for a little longer yet...

    As an aside I had a big crash on my KTM on the weekend (a tree decided it should try to spear me in the chest) - I ended up doing my best "turtle" imitation in the middle of the track (which was only one bike wide at that point), not the best thing to do when you're racing 150+ other maniacs! :D I thought my day was over but after 15mins of watching people I'd passed pass me :mad: I could move again so I got on and ended up doing another 2 laps (20 odd k's). The ambulance and rescue chopper were kept busy with other accidents :eek: so I'd say I came of pretty lightly :D Got some great bruises plus a couple of new holes in my right bicep and my chest is still really sore but hopefully I'll be OK to ride again this weekend - or go jetskiing in the surf - forecast is looking good :) (not enough wind to go kiteboarding though :( ) I need some more spare time in my life!! :D

    those "maniacs" ??! I think you just fit right in.

    I liked your idea to give us a taste of it sooner and give feed backs on the enhanced skin.

    without seeing the enhanced version... my feedback is the "classic" basic home and was wondering if you can somehow enhance the graphic ? (resolution?)

    Hi,
    the problems with weather backdrops after an update to 1.1.1.0 I solved with modifying the myHome.xml and myweather.xml. Also I uses the same path for weather backdrops as in "x-factor"-skin (every condition has its own folder and weather.jpg). The update process overwrites the weather symbols with the old-styled! Save them before updating!

    Thanks for posting that - I saw this on the MP Roadmap yesterday "We have a memeory leak in MediaPortal 1.1.1. Seems to be happening inside the TextureManager" so I'm pretty happy I haven't had a chance to try it yet :) Will be fixed for MP 1.1.2 so I guess I should try to get a new release out soon after that since MP 1.2 is still a fair way off.

    I installed MP 1.2 Alpha yesterday, mainly to check out the new "coverflow" view. Unfortunately it didn't blow me away - it's hard to explain what was going on but basically the covers didn't flow too well (overlaying of images incorrectly before being shown properly) but to be fair I was running it on my wifes laptop and maybe it hasn't got the grunt required to perform the task (I thought it would have though..)

    @ xvffx - Re enhancing graphics: I'm not too sure how well I'd do at that - I would have to create new graphics and unfortunately I'm no graphic design artist (the current graphics that are used are from the old Foofaraw skin which is the inspiration behind the whole of BleazleWide). I'll have a play around with it when I get a chance and see how I go... Unless anyone out there wants to jump in and have a go? :)
