    Hi and welcome jabato70 :)

Reinstalling will not help. You need to unblock MediaPortal and TV Server in the firewall configuration because they need to use those ports. TV Server also needs port 554.

I have disabled antivirus and firewall as well, besides the router I have those two ports open, it seems that other programs using those ports.

This message is also shown when the TV server is simply not running, btw.

how do you run and check if the TV server is running? I assumed this happened automatically on windows startup.

[edit] scratch that, found it running in services as tv server. Still cant get the bloody thing to work though, but to be honest I do err on technological retardedness on occasion..

Did you activate the EPG grabbing for specific channels in the config and also activate EPG grabbing while idle?

Fixed, I think. Certainly the vintage MP2 installer that I was using no longer installs the LAV filters. I can only assume that these were never part of the install package itself, but rather downloaded during the install, and that link no longer exists. Shame that the installer doesn't indicate this. Last time when I installed the...
