[no Bug] Cannot send MP to standby (1 Viewer)

no, but now ;)

you are right: the problem is back again. i get now some "tv service connection lost" messages and i cannot get the pc to standby with mp menu.

so these steps reproduce it:

1. start mp debug mode
2. close mp, stop debugging
3. restart tv-service
4. start mp in normal mode
5. try to get pc into standby with mp menu -> not working

    OK this might be a bug.... will do some more investigation tonight

    hm just tried it again a few times, sometimes its reproducable and somtimes its working... strange.

    Yeah, it disables plugins but doesnt delete folders (which is afaik used for mdapi). Really, mdapi isnt for no reason on the "no support" list. We struggled for months and it created the weirdest errors with tvservice. I wouldnt be surprised if that is the same for you. And yes, it may have worked with rc2, but it doesnt have to with rc3. Sorry.

    Could you post logs. It looks like Debug Mode will not touch which TV plugins are loaded so there must be something else at play here

    Please try the following:

    1. Start SetupTV and verify that PowerScheduler is enabled and configured correctly. If not, enable and configure it.
    2. Exit SetupTV and restart TVService
    3. Start MP Debug Mode and collect logs (3rd option) and exit
    4. Start MP Debug Mode again
    5. Close MP, stop debugging
    6. Restart TVService
    7. Start MP in normal mode
    8. Try to get pc into standby with mp menu -> not working
    9. Start SetupTV and verify that PowerScheduler is still enabled
    10. Start MP Debug Mode and collect logs (3rd option) again
    11. Post all 3 sets of logs here
    In your post include the date/time you performed step 6. Note that steps 4 through 8, are the same steps you have provided for reproducing the issue.

    I also noticed in your logs that TV Service has ended unexpectedly several times (crashed?). You can see this by checking Windows Event Viewer. There you will see a crash report which may include important information regarding the crash. If you do find such entries in Event Viewer, please copy and paste them here.

    Finally I have to say that I have personally experienced connectivity issues after TVService had crashed a few times because of sockets being already in use. Normally when a process ends in any way, Windows frees all resources it held (memory, CPU, handles, network connections etc.). However based on the above incident I have to conclude that Windows sometimes fails to free resources (at least sockets). Another explanation might be that the firewall gets confused by the repeated abrupt disconnections or treats them as an attack attempt and blocks further incoming connections to TVService.
