Could you please change the entry in the language file for German for

Gleich:

to

Danach:

?

I think it would fit much better.

I think "Gleich" is the more common expression in germany.
It's used in the standard language usage in every german channel.

If a channel in germany makes an advertisement for a upcoming movie they always use the word "gleich".

Imho it's only a user preference.

You are referring to the info at the end of a program - as the expression is used in the Info screen and the miniEPG it isn't exactly what expected (saying "gleich" when the first movie has just started isn't a proper expression)

"Gleich" is the common used word by the tv stations but I also agree that "Danach" would also fit. Actually it's better ...
If that would ever be possible: "Gleich" should be used if the next program is starting in, lets say under 10 minutes. "Danach" if the next program is more than 10 minutes ahead.

Same with "Upcoming" or "Next"

I think danach is fitting in better as it has no definite timespan, gleich has at least a felt timespan and indeed it is not gleich in my opinion if a movie starts in one hour.
Making time dependend is not possible - at least in a simple way.

Yes, I know. That would be a 'nice to have' feature if there's nothing left to do.

Totally Agree. But as it's not possible a more time independent phrase would suite better - well - it's not that sort of a task to change it manually

Is was going to go over the whole german translation and look if there are some things that are not really well translated. Sometimes it's really hard to set a fitting german string.
For example there is the layout and the view in english, in german they are both translated as ansicht, but that is confusing. Well, the english translation was also changed from view to layout, so there have been two views also. Maybe there will be more stuff to discuss about to get good german strings.

Just my personal opinion - but does it realy make sense to translate all and everything to German? Layout should also be fine in German (special as a Layou is not the "Ansicht" but the way the "Ansicht" is designed - so it would have to be Layout -> Die Art wie die Ansicht erstellt wird ... holprig - oder . Same goes for "Exit" - would you realy want to put in teh Menue "Ausgang" instead?

It's a nice thing about the English language that you often can use one word to express something you would need a whole sentence in German.
