Hi,

Can anyone please point me in the direction of the current setup to get the UK EPG DVB-S working please?

Cheers

The Freesat EPG seems to be carried on it's own radio channel: Freesat Info.
However, after doing a satellite scan a few times it would not show up for me, so I entered the radio channel manually.
Settings I used are as follows:
attachment.php

I then selected the grabber in the MediaPortal TVServer configuration:
attachment.php

Left running for a while and EPG was populated! No plugins necessary!

    Hi Deco,

May I ask where you found the tuning details? They're different to the others I've seen posted here (and tried without any luck).

Going to give yours a try but wondered where you found the info for future reference.

    Thanks,

    Wo0zy

Thanks DJBlu, you're quick on the reply!!! King of Sat is where I got the info. also. Strange how the Freesat Info channel did not show up on a full channel scan. After I manually add the radio channel, signal strength appears about 84% and quality about 95%, same as other satellite TV channels.
BTW looking forward to giving your automatic channel sorting a go! Been following your threads on the Development forum for a while. Is your new Sky/Freesat EPG TV Server plugin ready to be used on a day to day system? I've used you Sky EPG grabber on previous MediaPortal releases.

Deco, i could not see an option to do a manual edit of the freesat epg: Where would i find this or did you use an external editor on the xml file?

G0 to the radio channels under epg. On the all channels tab, there is an add button in the lower left area.

I finally got this working :)

It seems that if I set the modulation type when manually adding ANY channel it fails to tune. If I leave it at "not set" channels tune just fine (including Freesat info awhen using the rest of the above settings).

I'm using the DVB-S part of a Hauppauge HVR 4000 BTW.

Thought I'd mention it in case it helps someone else.

    All the beat,
