I followed the top instruction in this for Direct X. http://stackoverflow.com/questions/4414474/how-to-add-a-directx-reference-in-visual-studio-2010

   2. Click references
   3. Click add reference
   4. Click Browse
   5. Browse to:
      
      C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\DirectX for Managed Code\1.0.2902.0\

Look out for this one...

I've uninstalled and rebooted but I can't reinstall. Not even in safe mode and Win 10 has no fixit tools.

I'm guessing it didn't need to be installed in the first place. I saw it in the programs folder before I did the install but weren't able to get that to load to VS.

I'm guessing I can just ignore this and manually install it.

I think what happens is you can't uninstall it correctly in the first instance if any part of MP is running. Hence it has left some DLL in the windows folder and now won't install or uninstall.
