Shane, two things...

1. do you ahve dx9.0c installed?

Yes

bionicdonkey said:
2. are you getting to the black screen before trying to connect to the graph?

Yes

well i out of idea's. does setup work correctly?

i've finished adding digital stuff into the capture cards config, so it might be better to forget about the plugin and concentrate to the new stuff when i release it.

I don't always get the black screen, sometimes I just get a windows error. When using GraphEdit, I see the following graph available to connect to;

pid 0x10e0 (4320) IFilterGraph = 0034e050.

Not sure if that helps?

When I try to connect to it, GraphEdit simply hangs. I have tried leaving it for 30 minutes but it never comes back.

    Hally,

I had a similar issue in GraphEdit. I removed the card and drivers and then re-installed them - hey presto.

Also what version of graphedit do you have?
I have 5.04.00.2904 from the DirectX SDK.

What is your actual BDA driver version?
As BionicDonkey said also try the latest version, if you need a compiled DLL let me know.

My version of GraphEdit (from the DX9 SDK) shows version 9.0.0.400. Under Help/About it shows DirectX 9.0 - Build: 030909.

VisionPlus SpectrumTV BDA Drivers are version 1.5.3.1.

FusionHDTV BDA Drivers are version 4.0.102.0

I'll take a look at compiling now.

    Shane,

I had similar issues. I went into my task manager and killed off FastTVSync (InterVideo). It still took a long time before getting the Skin screen error (about 80 seconds), but after that you can fire up GraphEdit and there it is.

I can only speculate it has something to do with the InterVideo installation. Josh, is there a possible issue relating to how you are latching on to the MPEG2 Codec. As you may recall, when I run my graph, I see the NVidia codec pop up for a second, plus the need to kill off the FastTVSync makes me wonder if there is a Codec problem.

Let me know if I can help,
    FullDeck

since i'm trying to find a specific filter by name, all filters within a certain category, in this case LegacyAmFilterCategory, are enumerated and tested to see if it has the same name. the filters arn't added to the graph untill the correct filter has been found.

Perhaps... Only way to confirm would be for me to invest in a different USB DVB-S2 tuner (like the Hauppauge WinTV-NOVA-S2), which I might do if the issue persists.

Hi there, since I changed TV and HTPC's CPU, I'm wondering if this guide: Guide could be considered still good today, since it's been almost 13 years since then and it's still referring to a resolution of 1080p? I say this because I have a new Panasonic 4K HDR TV, and with that settings, even if I have an old Gygabyte GPU (bought...
