Is there a way to change the fanart-directory?
I would like to use a shared path on my server, so I can use the fanart on all clients.

Hi,

you can edit the "MediaPortalDirs.xml" file in the Program Folder of MP.

You must change the "Thumbs" line with the path of your shared folder on your server. It works great for me!

is it just me or is fan art broken in rc3 , i haven't tried it in a while so it may be dead for a while now , but i can't get it working with RC3 and mytvseries, anyone else?

can you paste in the full pathname of your fan art folder on your computer? and just one test fan art file that is working perhaps my file formats are wrong

You know that tvseries has it's own way of dealing with fanart right?

Normal fanart (with plugins that don't natively support it) always sits in this directory
C:\Program Files\MediaPortal\skin\Aeon Wide\Media\Animations

The tvseries fanart (which popsup when you've selected a serie) resides in:
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Team Mediaportal\MediaPortal\thumbs\Fan Art

so when skinning for a plugin that doesn't support fanart by itself, then you should set the imagepath of the multiimage. This imagepath always gets the "C:\Program Files\MediaPortal\skin\Aeon Wide\Media\Animations" prepended to whatever you put in the tag.
so:
<imagepath>tv</imagepath> is actually
C:\Program Files\MediaPortal\skin\Aeon Wide\Media\Animations\tv

yeah thats the strange thing i have my fan art folder set the same for mytvseries, but with blue3 it doesnt' seem to be using them , i will dig deeper into the problem to find out whats going on
