    Hi,

i can trigger this behaviour reproducable by switching between channels very often. In TvServer setup i can see that the tuning went fine.

Oh an additional notice this is mutliseat rtsp. Have you tried that?

    Things to check:

    • Is the issue reproducibe without MP audio renderer in use? If not then it is not a MP bug most likely (of course the renderer could just expose some bug)
    • Disable preferred audio language
    • Disable prefer AC3
    • Test if 1.1.1 causes the same issue
    • Test if TsReader from 1.1.1 helps

OK this is related to => GetPreferedAudio. If i disable prefer AC3 it does NOT happen. It also only happens when i switch to a channel where the default stream (0) is NOT AC3 but an AC3 stream is available in f.e. stream (1). But it does not happen everytime. I've to switch between two channels 5-10 times to trigger it.

There seems to be a loop between triggered audio change and changing the audio itself.

I think i'm able to trigger this with a 100% success value:

1.) you need to run rtsp multiseat
    2.) you've to activate prefer AC3
3.) tune to a channel with only 1 available audio stream which must be MPEG
4.) tune to a channel with exacly 2 available auio streams where the 1st is MPEG and the 2nd is AC3

    you get stuck...

oh thanks but WHY is it tagged for future versions? I mean i really cannot watch live TV without stopping TV and starting it again when i want to switch a channel. This is AN absolute showstopper for watching live tv.

OK will fix this and some other stuff withn simply moving away from rtsp even in multiseat. It is nearly unusable in MP. The tvserver also crashes really often due to bugs in streamserver.dll, ...

Why isn't UNC mode default for multiseat. I think this would be muchn more stable for MOST of the users.

I get the same graph for both channels in PiP mode. See attached. No sound from second channel (even it it's subsequently switched to be the main channel), but the graph stays the same in any of the possible scenarios. N.

Having used MP1 since 15 years, these epg related problems occuring after a fresh install stumble me. Needed to change a system hdd and decided it was time for a clean install anyway. Other hardware (C2D, 8 Gb ram, no tv cards - IP only) unchanged. Was running an earlier Win10 version with MP 1.24 which had been updated for years...

Just to wrap this up I did eventually get MP2 installed, the above mentioned error was resolved once I uninstalled MP1. I then had firewall issues with MP2, the client could not see the server unless I turned the firewall off on the server, all rules seemed present and correct, so I eventually uninstalled MP2 as I needed a working...

Then you didn’t use Nereus Skin in MP2. tMM does a great job in combination with MP2 it’s the best, if you ask me.

Interesting, unexpected and wrong! As you indicated, the co-axial onnectors were at fault. Nevertheless, your helpfulness has inspired me to get to grips with the problem, so, thank you very much again. Cheers Ralph
