Hi there,

can anybody please explain how to create the "hierarchy structure" mentioned in the feature list of version 4.0?

I tried to set it up like in the example, but there is nothing that looks like a hierarchy list.

You have to define a hierachy separator in the setup (second field for ANT Master Title, '\' by default.
And after change your ANT Master Title field in your database to define the hierarchy.
For example :
Friends\Season One\first episode.avi
Friends\Season One\Second episode.avi
Friends\Season One\...
Friends\Season Two\first episode.avi
Friends\Season Two\...
...

I posted a demo ant database + setup info on this thread that demonstrates the hierarchy https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/demo_ant_file_pics_myfilms-t21243.html . If you examine the ant database supplied all should become clear. It mimics a similar functionality found in MythTV which allows you to organise your films as though in folders when the physical files could actually be all over the place on diff drives or discs. Once you get 100+ files you need some sort of organisation. check out the Ant scripts if you need to modify lots of entries at once and don't fancy doing it by hand.

Hi,

I am using the latest version 4.2.4 and when I put the movies into hierarchy structure it works great except for one thing, when i go into a "subfolder" and press Esc, i expect it to go back to the listing but instead it goes back to the home view of media portal. the only way i can go back to the main listing is to select the view again using "switch view" which is alot more steps then necessary.

Corrected in future release 4.2.5 coming soon (beta test on french forum site here).
With 4.2.4 you can use the U key.

I'm running 2.5 with the WMC skin. I have .mp4 files, along with the related .srt files in the same folder. I can watch the movies just fine. In past versions of MP, like 2.4x, I could press the More Info button on my remote twice, and on the second press, an option for showing/choosing the subtitles was listed. I'd select the...

I do not know why this xml was in my theme folders, it must have sneaked in some time ago (years?). I simply removed the file. The Latest Media Handler plugin seems to be working as expected. I've had no lock-ups.

How does the Timezone flag work? What input is it looking for? I went through the source code and all I saw was "America/New_York." I tried "America/Chicago" but still getting GMT times in the xmltv.xml file. Edit: Got this figured out. In the XmlTv plugin, you need to select "Apply timezone compensation when loading tvguide.xml" and...
