Hi guys,

I've got films stored in several folders, over different drives. How can I access them all through Media Portal? I can only select one folder at a time through the Config program.

Cheers,

Jed.

The best thing is to not use the "Shares"-view. You are far better of using a database view, which means you have to scan your filmes.

ATM I actually advice you to give the plugin Moving Pictures a try first, as it seems to scan movies better than the built in My Videos

See: Moving Pictures - MediaPortal Forum - only downside is partial lack of skin support for some skins.

I eventually came across the TwinHan driver CD that was included with the original product. The CD contains numerous drivers for the different TwinHan tuner models, but the drivers are for Win 2K (32-bit only) and Win XP (32-bit and 64-bit). The drivers install directly on Vista, and the drivers can be installed on Win 7 and Win 10...

I don't organise my media in the way that you do, so I don't know whether MediaPortal provides the capability that you want. All that I can suggest is that you read this page in the MP Wiki and experiment to see if it will merge the separate folders to give you a unified view of the media. -- from CyberSimian in the UK

Also clear your "log" folder before running the import. In the backend importer (from the Configuration/Plugins/MovingPictures), there's a setting for ignored files you can try to disable. I'm using Mediaportal right now, so can't check exactly how it's worded. Emph

Ok, now this really pisses me off, because I tried that yesterday and when I fired up MP and selected videos, it hung. I just tried it now and that appears to be working. (Networks. I hate networks.) Thanks.
