MP returns to Basic Home after pressing STOP on Video

Hi All,

I would also like to remove Basic Home, or at least change it from being accessed. When I am watching a video and press STOP, I am returned to the Basic Home screen, rather than the 'normal' home screen.

Is there anyway I can change what screen I am returned to on pressing STOP so perhpas it returns to the menu option from where it initially came? For example, when watching a video and pressing STOP it would be logicaly to return to the My Video menu.

Any suggestions appreciated!

Does that here, think your remote settings may be causing this to happen.

I've been playing around with the remote settings to see if I can find a cure for this - to recap, the problem, or mild annoyance, I am seeing is that when I stop any media from My Music, My Video or My TV series using the remote (iMon, but using a Harmony 525) it returns me to the Basic Home Screen.

From what you are saying Paranoid Delusion, when you press STOP, you are returned to the sub-screen of the media area. So if you are watching a Video from MY Videos, pressing stop returns you back to the My Videos screen - right? I am trying to establish what the normal behaviour is when the STOP command is sent to MP, so I can pinpoint my problem.

If anyone has any ideas on this, I would really appreciate it

Seems like odd behaviour. For me it returns to the previous screen. I.e my videos or my music

Thanks for the reply - I will try and work out why my setup is doing this, although I notice it does this with both the origanl Zalman remote (iMon) and the Harmony. I can actually see it cycle through the screens when it goes back to Basic Home, so I suspect it may be this.

One other thing I am going to look at is the keystoke shortcut for stop, which on my setup appears to be mapped to 'b'. It has just occured to me that this may also be the shortcut for 'B'asic home, as 'H' is for 'H'ome...this could be the problem.

fixed - double command coming from iMon and Shorcutter plugin

I found the problem. When I was pressing STOP (keyboard command 'b') this was being sent as 'b' once via the iMon software to issue the STOP command and then once again by the Shortcutter plugin for 'b' which was mapped to Basic Home. As I don't use Basic Home, I deleted this value from the Shortcutter plugin, and problem is now solved.

Not sure if this will help, but try remapping the 'Start' button from "Switch Home" to "Home"
