Here are my MP splash screens. I didn't add any drop shadow or border to the frame - yet.
The first one (the blue one) is made to fit Vanessa's beautiful 3DMP skin. (More to splashscreens come...)

This one is great, because it keeps the original mp logo spirit and takes advantage of the fantastic skin of vanessa. but i would prefer if there wasn't any border to the mediaportal text.

Same thing, love the polished look. No border would be nice (i should need to see both)

What about rounded corners and a border? To me that would set it as being finished!

if I wanted something close to being a border I would accept some alpha on the edges

I'm not very good at visualization, so I took the 30 seconds to round out the corners and add a drop shadow. Here it is for comparison in case anyone else needs to see.
