Well i had a look at the suggestions on that wiki page but... the remove splash screen patch gave me the jitters it had a warning on the dl page about content , there wa a redirect link but using that flagged avg to issue a warning bout content!!
This is unf because setting mp as shell caused it to crash and the resulting error message was hidden by a black box about the size of the MP splash screen....
from power on boot to mp is about 25secs but using 2 ssd's in RAID 0 for boot drive, really would like to get it faster!!

In the latest SVN there seems to be a new splash screen that covers the entire screen. And it seems to use the same background as your active skin. So all you need to do to get a clean look, is to set that background as your wallpaper, and then install objectdock to hide the windows taskbar.

Just right click on your taskbar>Properties>check Auto-hide the Taskbar
and it will hide until you mouse over the bottom

That isn't good enough for me atleast :)

I hate having the little bar that's visible when you do that. Much better to "remove" it completely. If you need the start menu, you can open ith with the start-button.

MP1 MP2 1.31.0 Cannot view Changelog anymore DE
Hi all, I don't frequently update my MediaPortal and before seeing if it's really useful I used to browse the Changelog to determine if this update is necessary for my system or not. Today I wanted to check the Changelog for version 1.34 (1.31 installed on my system) and I was asked for a “Jira” login. I tried to use the same one as...
