As PT Barnum once said " There is a sucker born every minute" .
At least this guy is not making the product out to be somthing its not, (the fruits of the labor of microsoft). His discription of the Product is quite clear the it is in fact Media Portal, an alternative PVR to MCE & others.

What he fails to mention is that it is Open Source, and is freely available for download. (but he wouldn't get many sales saying that ).

The other thing that I found amusing with this add is one of the lines near the bottom of the add:
"If you just need Project Management integrated with Outlook: Visit OutlookProject.com. "

This same mistake appeared in identical add for a guy selling the MP in Canada.
So not only is this guy trying to sell somthing the public can get for free, he has stolen sombody else's add to do it

I certainly commend the people that have had the spare time to track down the bidders and alert them...

However a little food for thought...

If someone was to say place a bid, and purchase the software, and actually pay for it for the sole purpose of posting a bad feedback...
ie "I just bought this software and have confirmed that this vendor is selling free software, beware all his software appears to be opensource ie Mediaportal, PDF Creator..."

I guess it pays good money to pull the top 100 sourceforge projects, burn them to CD, and put a fancy CD label on them.

Seriously, absolutely nothing to stop people supplying Mediaportal for a fee, hopefully they will follow the links in config back to here, and then leave negative feedback.

I think if the distribution costs are covered and a donation per sale is made then there shouldn't be any trouble. If people are silly enough to spend money to get Media Portal then so be it, but the more people find out about Media Portal the better as it will bring in more people who can contribute on all fronts.

P.S. People aren't selling free software they are distributing it.
P.P.S Don't shoot me down for this I am mearly offering another opinion.
