Don't know what the status of the rest of the site is... I stopped development in february after I learned that there was DRM involved. But due to the DRM, I suspect the only way to get it working is to use the browser player indeed.
That is ofcourse if katsomo is indeed a needed site (ie videos not present at other finnish sites)

Hi Guys and thank you for your interest. Katsomo is as needed as Areena and Ruutu are since these sites together are covering all finnish main broadcasting companies. Other finnish sites seems only have links pointing to katsomo.fi.

It would be great if you could even take a look at this

Hi,

I've managed to get a Katsomo site with BrowserPlayer going. No login and only "Kaikki ohjelmat"

@doskabouter do you move the old site to me?

Now the new Katsomo.fi is available.

• It uses the browser player.
• Silverlight has to be installed on computer
• You can control the player
  • Play
  • Pause
  • skip steps, left and right 30s per skip.
  • toggle zoom of the video window with x on keyboard or 0 (zero) on remote. (red button on remote might work). The automation always tries to maximize the video as soon its possible but sometimes you might have to do it yourself....
  • Stop/back/esc to close browser player
• All programs A-Ö and live channels supported.
• Programs listing is filtered to not show "premium" content, channels not filtered.
• Search (from the hidden menu)

Playback quality is so-so. There're some tricks for me to try out when it comes to stuttering silverlight playback, I will try this later on.

Thanks a lot Ministerk!!! Just tested it and it worked fine and all free content seems to be available as you said. Katsomo's playback quality has always been quite poor.
