The new skin looks really professional. To bad that the mepo figure totally ruins this look & feel for me.
I think its way to childish for a great product like MP.

So perhaps a version without it?

The decision to replace the "blue boys" from Blue2 with MePo is done and final.
This will not be changed.

Feel free to create and release a modified version of Blue3 with other graphics, this is allowed.
There are also plenty of other community skins which have a different style.
It is simply impossible to please everyone with the default skin, and this is the way we decided to go.

No need to say more about this topic.

Well, I totally agree (150%!) with Joostzilla...
I also totally agree with Infinityloop: it is not possible to please everyone with a default skin

But I am a stupid guy and I am not able to modify a skin. So what I would like in a default skin is the possibility to configure it, not only to change the colors of the background but also to delete buttons, to have something as simple as possible.
I think that all the options are fine if you have only one unit and if you pilot it by yourself, but if you have different MP clients, problems become when you receive friends who never have seen MP before and when they begin to play with the unit they have in their room!

But Harley seems to make a first steep in that way if I read correctly the posts!

Anyway, a lot for all the work done!!

I don't like them too ...

so take a look in the *:/*\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\skin\Blue3\Media folder
delete the mepo pics (folder with preview help you to find them quickly)
delete the skin catch folder (you find the folder in MP config /top left click on "user config files")

restart MP ... and here you are without the Mepos ... have fun

Do you plan to do MEPO characters for My News, My Trailers plugin and My Yahoo videos plugin? The first 2 png files exist in the blue3 skin folder but are blank png files.

As i said. There are plenty of high quality community skins where everyone should find "the skin" he likes.
I also expect that in the not so distant future, we will see Blue3-modifications which maybe fit some users taste better.

A skin which is as configureable as you posted, is an extremely complex system to develop.
We are allready looking into it since quite some time. But it will definitly not come for MediaPortal 1 but mostlikely for MediaPortal 2.
