I buy MCE keyboard but it doeset work good. In mediaportal it works ok, but in windows xp not. What I need for this keyboard. I'm realy angry. I use MCE replacment driver and plugin. Please help
This worked for me using XP-pro Norwegian:
1. Install IR-server suite, found in first post here: https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/ir...on-t24849.html
2. You only need IR Server
3. Rightclick on tray -> setup -> configure MCE (...) -> Enable all tabs.

Thank you,. Now work well. I install IR server and new media portal and now everthing is better. Kyeboard works ok. It's not like a normal but in most case works ok. Now I have only one problem to fix on my htpc and i will very happy.
S3 standby don't work ok. I can't resume from standby. Display is blank. bye
The replacement driver seems to have some standby issues. I'm no longer developing the replacement driver and I strongly urge you to go back to the default driver. You can still remap all the default buttons by disabling the HidIr service (this can be done manually or through the IR Server). So there really is no reason to stay with the Replacement driver...
It's ok, I don't use replacment driver . I install new media portal, Ir server and deinstal replacment driver. HTPC now work excelent, only S3 standby don't work. But S3 is problem in many cases. I read about this on Interent. Media portal isn't important in this case. Probably some drivers.
After instaling IR server MCE keyboard work ok.. but.
1. I can't use this kyeboard for example in some games.. this is not realy important but I wannt to now is this normal or not? I try to use in GTA and arows don't work. Only works arows on right side (multimedial part).
2. If I have login screen with multiple users I cant use kyeboard to select user. Kyeboard works only when windows XP is started. Is this normal or not?
3. I can't use this kyeboard in BIOS. I try to enable USB support for kyeboard but I nothing happend. I can't use this kyeboard for start PC when is turn off. Normal or Not?
Are you using the default eHome driver or the Replacement driver? From your previous posts I assume you're still using the default driver, so ...
Have you disabled the HidIr service? If not then the keyboard is still being handled by the HidIr service and is out of my control.
1. This sounds like you have disabled the HidIr service but haven't told the IR server to process the keyboard.
If you disable HidIr you need to tell the IR Server MCE component to take over, see the attached screen capture.
2. Again, this sounds like you've disabled HidIr. At the moment, IR server needs to be loaded to act on the keyboard buttons, but soon IR server will move to a Service instead of a normal application, this will let it run before a user is logged in.
3. You can't use the MCE keyboard in your bios no matter how you have it setup. This is because the keyboard doesn't work like normal USB keyboards. Which is an unfortunate consequence of Microsoft's design. Nothing can be done about this.
First thing to say is that I use MP1, whereas I believe that you use MP2. @ge2301 has just posted that MP2 has a "folder view" in addition to the "library view", so you should be able to set up your system as I describe below, but the details will differ.
In MP1, the folders that are to appear on the "Videos" panel are defined in "MP...

Ok, so perhaps a solution, but not the "right" solution. On the client, within media portal configuration, under TV settings, advanced options, I switched to UNC paths instead of the default RSS, and it's working very well. Sure I had to figure out the paths, but no big deal.
Maybe helpful for someone in the future. Thanks for the...

Most (all?) small PC cases accept only ITX motherboards, which have only one PCI-E slot. So you could install only one PCI-E tuner card. A quad-tuner card would give you four tuners, but if you wanted more tuners you would need to use the TBS eight-tuner card, or use external tuners, either USB tuners (available with single or dual...

The layout of remotes does vary from one model/brand to another. I too find that some layouts are better than others. Generally, I prefer the buttons that I use most-frequently to be positioned near the center of the remote, which is not the case with that particular Dell remote. :(
Battery life is often a problem. A remote that I...

The only changes I see are: Updated Marcel Groothuis version of the plugin to now support Media Portal 2.5
I can't say anything about the functionality of this plugin, I don't use TV Part, but if there are any changes that can be simply transferred, then I can try.
But I can't give any guarantees.
