I havent disabled hdir.. All i did was install the rollup and check the box for "use mce remote mapping"(or something like that) in mp setup. I edited some of the buttons in there for it to better suite my needs. I also installed that plugin that makes MP start with the green button.

Dominique, I think you should uninstall IR Server until you get the keyboard working properly by itself, that way you can be sure it's not IR Server causing any problems.

There are update floating around that might help, do a forum search and see what you can find. I'll have a look myself if I get a chance.

    Cheers,

Now I dislable option for MCE kyeboard in IR server and now both work ok.. :) Kyeboard works in Xp and Media portal ok, and MCE remote to.. Hidr is enebled. If I disable then remote don't work. (only few buttons). I don't know what is problem, but at this way works ok. Son I will buy new hardware and reinstall all and then I will setup from begining. Thanks for help..

Only one question. If someone now, is their any options to save configuration of media portal and ir server? I will install all from begining and I hate to map all programs again (for blasting), and other options.

Well, if you're going to start over then it's usually a good idea to redo that sort of thing anyway.

You can find all the configuration and IR files for IR Server in the Documents & Settings\All Users\Application Data\IR Server Suite or similar folder on Vista.

MediaPortal's config file is callled MediaPortal.xml and can be found in the program files folder for mediaportal.

    Cheers,

Well, the log doesn't show any problems. I can see correctly tuned channels in the log. It seems to me that the tuner works fine. Can you copy the created ts file(located in your timeshift folder) somewhere else while in channel preview and try to play it in VLC or MPC-HC? PS: You can also try to make short record

Ok, so perhaps a solution, but not the "right" solution. On the client, within media portal configuration, under TV settings, advanced options, I switched to UNC paths instead of the default RSS, and it's working very well. Sure I had to figure out the paths, but no big deal. Maybe helpful for someone in the future. Thanks for the...

Most (all?) small PC cases accept only ITX motherboards, which have only one PCI-E slot. So you could install only one PCI-E tuner card. A quad-tuner card would give you four tuners, but if you wanted more tuners you would need to use the TBS eight-tuner card, or use external tuners, either USB tuners (available with single or dual...

The layout of remotes does vary from one model/brand to another. I too find that some layouts are better than others. Generally, I prefer the buttons that I use most-frequently to be positioned near the center of the remote, which is not the case with that particular Dell remote. :( Battery life is often a problem. A remote that I...
