Mce remote hibernate? (1 Viewer)

Anyone know a way to wake up the computer from hibernate(S4 save on harddrive) with the remote?

I'm using a Mce 2005 remote.

You need to go to Device Manager / Human Interface Devices / and in HID-compliant human interface device, check "Allow this device to bring the computer out of standby" under the Power Management tab.

hey there, i read about this procedure on how to activate the resume with reciever function several times, but where the hack do u see the power management tab? i've only got the tabs: General, Driver, Info ?
I've activated the Resume from s3 with usb keyboard/mouse in my bios but i wont get it to work ?

That would suggest that the Standby (S3) option is not enabled on your PC. If you go to Control Panel / Power Options, do you see "System standby" listed in the Power Schemes" tab?

Hmmmm no ...
Under the Power schemes Tab is only "Home/Office, Protable/Laptop, Always On, Presentation" and so on.
Under this dropdown menu, there is a System Standby, where i can choose from 1 to 5 hours?
But i dont think u meant that, do you?

Yes, that's what I was referring to - the other clue to check if your PC is enabled for Standby mode, is when you go Start / Turn Off Computer you should see the orange "Standby" button. I assume you have the Standby button visible?

Now, go to Control Panel / System / Hardware / Device Manager and select Human Interface Devices then HID-compliant consumer control device. You should see 4 tabs - go to the Power Management tab and make sure the option "Allow this device to bring the computer out of standby" is selected. There may be more than one of these items listed, so check them all.

yes there is a orange button on shutdown, and i always use S3 - this works great with PVR Scheduler, but i'm sorry but there is no power managment tab in the device manager.
i even set the turn to standby after 5 hours - and then tried the device manager thing ... (i can send u a schreenshot).
i dont know whats wrong, but something is, definitly!
i tried every possible usbport because i read somwhere that not every usb is s3 compliant.
maybe there is a "hack" or a registry string which one could help me out.

Windows XP and Windows Server 2003 enter the S1 system power state for standby, and only enter the deeper, power saving, S3 system power state if no USB device is armed for wake.

This behavior occurs because too many computer BIOS report that they support the S3 system power state for their on-board USB host controller, when they really don't provide proper support. When these systems attempt to wake from the S3 system power state, you can experience loss of power, false device removal/arrival notification, reset of attached USB devices, failure to resume, and other undesirable effects.

If you know your computer supports the S3 system power state for standby when USB devices are armed for wake, you can arm the device by checking the Allow this device to bring the computer out of standby on the Power Management property dialog in Device Manager.

To enable your computer to enter the S3 system power state when USB devices are armed for wake:

1. Open a CMD.EXE window.

2. Type the following command and press Enter.

reg ADD HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\usb /v USBBIOSx /t REG_DWORD /d 00000000 /f

NOTE: Installing a 3rd party USB host controller when the USBBIOSx Value Name exists may cause problems waking the computer through the 3rd party controller.

NOTE: Microsoft does NOT recommend adding this key and Value Name. this:
