I know this was fairly old, but I think there's still a problem.

RC4 overwritten with latest svn build two days ago. I just ran an xmltv update. Update was quick, but after 20 minutes of 100% cpu usage and very high memory usage both from TvGuideScheduler and MediaPortal I took this screenshot from task manager;

tvguide.jpg

(Yes, 1.7GB of ram usage)

Do I win some sort of prize?

(Athlon64 3200, 2GB installed ram. System swapping extensively) Database files were < 12mb and TVGuide.xml was around 5mb.

I had to kill both processes. Mediaportal continued running and allocing like crazy even when closed from systray. Memory usage was going up and down on both indicating they were working, but surely this is beyond the design envelope.

Fixed, I think. Certainly the vintage MP2 installer that I was using no longer installs the LAV filters. I can only assume that these were never part of the install package itself, but rather downloaded during the install, and that link no longer exists. Shame that the installer doesn't indicate this. Last time when I installed the...

maybe setting loglevel to debug might pinpoint the difference between normal and stuck? Preferable with as much disabled as possible also try to see if anything is happening during stuck for the mediaportal process(resource monitor, disk activity, cpu usage, anything) maybe other programs competing for resouces?

Just those I attached. I messed about with task priorities MP/TV-Server/SQL-Server and the issue changed to the skin.. I would do something, but it would be 10's of seconds before the action happened. Doing an Alt-Tab would flush the actions. Too weird lol!! So, with some flak from the family, I had to give in. I just did a...
