Wow this works well. I have not used for some time ie 4-5 years ago on old android tablet....

2 issues: On both android TV machine and samsung S8+ internal video player does not work. I have installed VLC and this works.
I seem to not be able to fast forward or skip (eg 15s - 1 arrow push in MP client) in the player. Am I missing something. How do I skip through adverts!?

Try all kind of streaming profiles like ffmpeg, vlc and http live.

I have installed VLC and this works.
I seem to not be able to fast forward or skip (eg 15s - 1 arrow push in MP client) in the player.

The external player just show the stream. That is all.

How do I skip through adverts!?

Upgrade to pro version in settings menu.

Hi have tried them all. http live plays but is very choppy and unwatchable. so no good. VLC remains perfect on both android tv and S8. But cannot skip which is a show stopper.

Any other ideas that I can tweak to get working

What video are you viewing - I am using h264. Server is 1-2 year old i5 processor and on Android TV using wired LAN so should not be network related. Which Http live profile are you using? Any pointers to what setting?

I also copied the the "64bit ffmpg.exe" file from the first post...

Check the cpu usage during the streaming.

Try the "SD-quality Android profile based on VLC 720x576 2Mb/s with deinterlace" profile.

What video are you viewing

Mostly 720p Live TV and TV recordings.
The used profile the HD-quality http live .

I would also check the cpu usage of the MPextended server. Perhaps it is to weak or antivirus or desktop firewall is interfearing?

It seems I can support MovingPicture and My Videos too but I had to extend MPExtended with new methods so I have to publish a new version again.
