I have exactly the same issue for what it is worth!

I also have the same TBS6981 card as you.....

    Hi folks

I suspect that the motor position was not saved with the tuning details. One of the shortcomings of TV Server motor support is that the motor position is not shown as a field in the tuning details. That makes it difficult to check the tuning details are saved correctly. Are either of you able to check your database and see what the "satIndex" column says? If -1, then no motor movement will be attempted.

I didn't have my motor enabled since I installed RC1...

I've just enabled it and I'm doing another scan - satIndex seemed to be set to 16 for ALL channels, including my tuners with fixed dish..

I'll come back to you in a bit!

Do you have any idea why USALS support has never been added? Is it a difficult implementation?

I'm currently having to use DVBViewer Pro to set up the satellites and move the dish in the initial instance, so USALS support would be a godsend!

EDIT: Just tried again on RC1 and it works just fine :)

Is it right that you can only have 4 satellites stored?

    No and I don't know.

No. You store the satellites on the motor tab. The four rows on the scanning tab are simply a convenience to allow you to *scan* four satellites in a row. Storing the satellite position on the motor tab associates the selected satellite [on the motor tab] with a position in the motor. Whenever you want to scan that position, you first move the motor to that position again using "goto" on the motor tab, then scan with the correct satellite selected in one of the rows on the scanning tab.

Doh!! Feel daft now, because of course that makes complete sense!!

Thanks, I'll add some more sats today then!

Thanks very much, Jasmeet. Worked. But note that this setting has moved, apparently, to: Settings > TV (not Plugins)

I meant use MP client to try to spot how it's requesting streams for specific channels and then try to do the same with VLC. TV Server development looks dead so I'm afraid you're going to have to figure that out by yourself if it's even possible.

I used to use the grabber but a few years back it disappeared on FreeSat DVBS. That is when I changed to EPG Collector. The extra benefit is that it collects from the Sky platform so it will give EPG for all the FreeSat channels plus the unencrypted movie channels on the Sky platform. It also allows me to pick the channels dedicated...
